It Takes A Village – Not a goodbye, but a see you soon

I am going to take a little podcast break right now – with the current global pandemic, I just felt like I needed to step back from motivating you about your goals – when I think everyone’s goals are pretty much up in the air right now.
So it’s not a goodbye, just a see you later kind of episode. I do hope to be back soon as I love talking to you guys!
You can still find me on Instagram @makesunshineco @thisquotechangedmylife or my website http://makesunshine.org – I’d still love to hear from you and how you are doing.
Thanks so much for listening and I hope you are truly doing okay where you are.
Tracey

Hey friends, you’re listening to This Quote Changed My Life, a podcast about inspired action.
My name is Tracey and I’m your host.
I might have mentioned this before, but I actually batch record this podcast every month or so – so I record and schedule 4 episodes at a time and that’s helped me keep this podcast going over the last year.
And it’s been working great, I had recorded my batch of episodes for you the week before last and was set up to release them over the coming weeks until a pandemic happened.
Yep, COVID-19 or the Coronavirus.
And suddenly it just didn’t feel right to release the episodes I had already recorded. Not that I didn’t fully believe in them, I just felt that it didn’t feel good to me, because I am not actually in the goal setting kind of mode at the moment. I have been unwell with a cold over the last week or so, and while I am not panicking about the virus, I am definitely aware of how people’s focus may not be on their side hustle right now. It hasn’t been mine and I think that’s totally okay to feel this way too – you don’t have to do what you’ve always done. It’s okay to take a break.
So while there’s no one way to handle a global pandemic, there are still things I can control – and one of them is to take a podcast break right now.
How long? I don’t know – but I know that when I come back, I do want it to be something you all would find comforting and motivating as always. So I’m keeping this short and sweet, and I hope you are all okay wherever you are in the world.
I will leave you with one quote that has stuck in my mind this past week – It Takes A Village.
I truly believe that we’ll get through this crazy time, but it has to be together – working in unison, thinking of others and becoming more aware of how our decisions effect our community. It takes a village. What does your village need right now, and what can you offer to those in your village?
If that means staying home, only taking what you need from the supermarket, jumping on Facebook or Instagram live every day to share your skills or just to reach out to people – then that’s what you need to do. It takes a village.
Until next time, thanks so much for listening.
